At the festival 'Night Banquet of the All Spirits Day' to give thanks to the spirits, a loud voice rang out. "Rosalinde Baltsche! I hereby break our engagement!!" The voice belonged to Crown Prince Oscar. He appeared with his rumored lover Vilma, and declared this to the duke's daughter who was supposed to be his fiancée. "Just as the rumors call you 'the veiled princess,' you cunning woman! Disappear from my sight forever!" Little did he know that his words would come true, and a future of deep regret awaited him. This is my first attempt at the classic development where a prince breaks an engagement and later regrets it. (Since I've only written engagements that end up heartwarming before now (^▽^;)) It has a strong fantasy tone to match the season.
