The Best Path

Dorothy, the daughter of a margrave, learns one morning that her sister, who is engaged to the crown prince of the kingdom, has eloped with Dorothy's own fiancé. When summoned by the crown prince, she is told that if Dorothy takes her sister's place, the matter concerning her sister will be dropped. However, Dorothy wishes for severe punishment for her sisters. She agrees to the engagement, but requests that it not be made public immediately, and instead wishes to make it appear as though she drew close to the crown prince because of her sister.
