A Very Short Engagement Cancellation

I stepped through the academy gates for the first time in a while, and suddenly had an engagement annulment thrust upon me. "Wait, what engagement are we talking about in the first place?" ***As the title suggests, this is very short. It's a prologue to a story I've been meaning to write eventually, but it felt like if I didn't write it now, it would become harder to do later, so I'm posting it.
