"Goodbye, to when I was in the amniotic fluid"

We were back then, inside something like a large amniotic fluid, and we believed that we would stay together like this forever and ever. By believing that, we were somehow able to walk through each day. I send this story now, in this moment, to all women—at school, at work, or somewhere else entirely—who are looking up at the sky and sighing, thinking that it's all so tedious.
