Nega Keiko decides to commit suicide and enters a deserted forest. She selects a grove with an abandoned house that appears to be swallowed by the trees as her location, ties a rope to a branch, and is about to hang herself when she is stopped by Kusaba Kage Minori. Angered, Keiko gets into an argument with Minori, but in doing so, she completely forgets her original purpose of committing suicide. After that, whenever Keiko goes to the forest, Minori happens to be there, and the two gradually become close friends.
