In a village where faith had waned, Sakinoshio became a sacrificial offering for a rain prayer ritual performed in name only. The ritual was supposed to proceed without incident, but the sound of insects ceased. When he looked up, before him stood a creature with fox ears and a tail. The yokai fox that suddenly appeared had taken a liking to both the village and Sakinoshio. To save the village, he makes a contract with the yokai fox.
