On the third day of venturing out to sea by canoe with friends, using summer vacation to explore nearby islands and diving into the sea to gather side dishes for dinner, I surfaced in a place I had never seen before. The next afternoon, I finally spotted another ship. It's a paddle wheeler, of all things. But it seems a bit different from a tour boat. Still, as I bring my canoe closer... This is how the story begins. About twenty years after a sea person died in Nirai Kanai, two men and women came again to the sea of a thousand islands. The cat people, who had built a peaceful nation with the help of the sea person, seem to face various challenges. Moreover, lately there seem to be strange occurrences happening in the sea. Decades after Aoi and the others died, a single boy wandered into Nirai Kanai. As the cat people's peaceful life continues, what kind of changes will the appearance of this new visitor bring to Nirai Kanai? P.S. When summer comes, I feel like writing.
