A dreadnought-class independent peak jutting from the sea—the sacred mountain of Babel, known as the world's highest summit. While its peak is not a caldera, it is depressed inward, and within it a unique ecosystem has formed. Its expanse is so vast that an entire small nation could fit snugly within it. There is a lake, a river, a forest, a grassland, and the uplifted outer edges form a continuous mountain range. The climate is far gentler than its altitude would suggest. Given its singular location, should a nation be established there, it would surely become a great power lasting a thousand years or more. Save for poor accessibility to the outside world—or rather, precisely because it is protected by natural fortifications, an impregnable nation could be built. It is land that humanity should seek to secure at all costs, yet no human shadow falls there. Only beasts that know no language dwell there, and a single dragon stands watch. Recently, new inhabitants have come to Babel's great basin. This is a love story woven between a lonely dragon and a man-eating spirit.
