Stan, a knight of the royal guard, shields the king from an assassination attempt and sustains a grave injury. Sensing his approaching death, Stan says to his beloved wife Trinity, whom he has been with for many years: "Let us be together in the next life as well..." --- --- --- --- This is a short short story written on a whim, consisting almost entirely of dialogue.
