After completing their subjugation journey and returning to the kingdom, the members of the party—including the hero, the mage, and the warrior—received their rewards in various forms. Some received gold, others gained status, and began walking new paths in life. Among them, one man accepted no reward whatsoever. Furthermore, he did not even attend the hero's triumphant ceremony and vanished without a trace. The man's name was Lau. He was the scout of the hero's party.
