The town's roughest ruffian, Bundol, was accosting a young girl when he was rebuked by a traveling swordsman named Lake. The two end up fighting, and Lake attacks with tremendous speed before saying this: "Just now, I cut your body. If you move even one step, you'll be split in two." Normally, one would move and be split in two at this point, but Bundol was different. He steeled his resolve, saying, "I don't wanna die, so I've decided not to move a single step from here!"
