In a world where bear-humans, psychics, monsters――everything that exceeds human limits is called "Beastfolk," there exists a school where only beastfolk are gathered. Tamae Hisato, an ordinary person suspected of being a tanuki beastfolk who enrolled in the school's upper division, stands frozen when instructed to "form pairs" during a chase exercise.
