Androids Do Not Dream of Electric Sheep

Komachi Meguri, who had fallen asleep, dreamed that she had become pepper placed in a stylish kitchen and was deliciously eaten sprinkled on a fried egg. Upon waking from her nap, she wondered whether she had dreamed of becoming pepper, or if pepper had become her in the dream. However, when she mentioned this to her partner Iru, she was refuted with the logic that pepper couldn't dream. The world had fallen into ruin due to a sudden rampage of machines, and even so, people somehow managed to form colonies and maintain their living spaces. Humanity, exposed to the threat of the rampaging machines, had no choice but to counter them with the power of machines themselves, even though doing so carried the risk of eventual malfunction and rampage.
