The Poem of the Maimai Kaburi (Or: The Song of the Ground Beetle)

尾妻 和宥

This is a poem featuring maimaicaburi, a dirty insect as the protagonist. Its favorite food is maimai (snails), and it's a gross beetle that sends digestive fluid into the flesh and eats voraciously. Not that I was particularly influenced by Kafka's "The Metamorphosis"... Truly befitting a bottom-tier writer, isn't this a poem that expresses my inner universe, crawling and writhing across the ground? ^^
