The blueness of the sky seen from the bottom of a well

Ren, who came to the city from the countryside, collapses after years of working at a black company. Blamed for responsibilities and mistakes, Ren is fired and returns to his hometown for the first time in years, where he reunites with his mother. Though Ren feels guilty and uncomfortable, he encounters a child with a girlish appearance who calls him "nii-cha," despite being an only child... This is an account of everyday events in which Ren, exhausted both physically and mentally, has his heart healed through meeting his half-brother Megumi, and at the same time awakens to a certain emotion.
