What a Solitary Lord Can Do

In a remote territory separated from a neighboring country by mountains that served as a natural fortress, there was a small domain. A boy lord who had just inherited it, the retainers who supported him, and a small number of close subjects living nearby. Although poor, they lived in peace—but this tranquil life was soon trampled and destroyed by the massive army of the neighboring country that had tunneled through the mountain to create a passage.
