In the city of Squeaid in a world of swords and magic, an alchemist lives on the outskirts. The alchemist's name is Yu Hiura. He is a being summoned to this world by a goddess whom he calls the "Unfortunate Goddess" in his heart. He was given the skills of a game that had one foot in the door of being a failed player, and has been assigned several missions. One of those missions is to accompany the Sage and her group to help defeat the Demon King. The battle to defeat the Demon King ended safely, and just as he thought it would be nothing but his duties as an alchemist from here on—he encounters a major problem.
