One day, inexplicable explosions occur throughout Japan. Leaving no fire or smoke, the phenomenon in which only people disappear has one common point. Just before each explosion, someone always says this―― "Daruma-san fell down." People instinctively stop moving. However, only the places where people failed to stop, where there was a will to move, disappear. Without explanation from the government or experts, society is forced into "not moving," and urban functions collapse. In a world where even escaping and thinking become dangerous, what will people choose? Does remaining mean living? Without the cause or true nature ever being revealed, this country becomes engulfed in a terror of stillness.
