Dio (β), whose father was a public mint master in Sinope (ancient Turkey), loses his family, status (citizenship), money, and everything else when his father is falsely accused of counterfeiting, and is driven from his homeland. Though reduced to slavery at one point, Dio reaches Corinth (a Greek city) where he attains enlightenment (?). He settles in a large earthenware jar and eventually becomes famous among the citizens of Corinth as the "Cynic Sage." Hearing of Dio's story, a certain man comes to meet him. That man is none other than α, Alexander the Great—the young king of the Macedonian Kingdom, called the "Great King." Interested in Dio, Alexander the Great decides to take him along on his eastern campaign. This is the story of the beginning of the love and eastern conquest between Dio (β) and Alexander the Great (α). Dio... 20 years old. β. Former citizen of Sinope, former slave, currently the "Cynic Sage" living in a large earthenware jar in Corinth. Fair-skinned with silver hair, blue eyes, and a beautiful face—a beauty. Her nature is that of a wild dog. Alexander the Great... 20 years old. α. King of Macedon. Powerfully built, tall, with golden hair and sharp features. His eyes are different colors—brown and green—on his left and right. A beautiful man with an unguarded arrogance, like the sun. Quite persistent. Niades... 30 years old. α. A Corinthian trader who was forced to purchase Dio when she was sold into slavery. A widower with two young children. Phryne... 21 years old. β. A high-class courtesan who takes Dio into her bed without charge. Hephaestion... 25 years old. α. A handsome man with black hair, more tall and powerfully built than Alexander the Great. Alexander the Great's close-guard escort officer. ※This is a short story that serves as a prologue. It begins as comedy but is planned to become dramatic.
