His father fled in the night, leaving behind debt. The boy Lucto Ox, left alone, was about to be sold to a slave merchant to pay off his father's debt. It was then that Meriarge of the Kuro-Tetsuya, a "moneylender," stepped in and saved him by taking on the debt. Meriarge says to the boy Lucto: "Become a 'Hunter.'" And so. Now, Lucto attends the Martial Arts Department of Notrebel Academy to become a "Hunter." This is a story of a protagonist burdened with massive debt who aims to pay off his debts while still in school by conquering labyrinths.
