Reincarnation! With Love from Another World

There was a time when I thought the world revolved around me. Yeah, that's not how it is. The world just spins around on its own with money, completely independent of my will, spinning away day after day without getting bored. I started to realize this around the summer of my second year of high school. No matter how long I waited, a beautiful girl never fell from the sky. I was never kidnapped by some secret organization. Terrorists never showed up during class. Why am I even alive? I'm not like some Haruhi Suzumiya or anything. I was forced to accept my own insignificance and the shitty reality of things—that's when I was starting to attain some kind of enlightenment. But I was mistaken. I realized that chances and opportunities—or whatever you want to call them—would never come to me on their own. Ah, why didn't I realize this sooner? But I don't have time to be thrilled about this realization. I took action immediately. And then... I died. (laughs) I got reincarnated.
