A rumor quickly spread among the students and even to the nobility who were their guardians: it seemed the First Prince had been completely captivated by a baroness of commoner origins who had enrolled at the Royal Academy a semester late. Normally, the crown prince's close aides and candidates for his attendants would have admonished the prince before such a situation could occur, but it was said they were already in a similar predicament.
