In modern-day Japan where humans and demi-humans coexist, and monsters and dungeons are commonplace, an "adventurer" is a profession where one defeats monsters and explores dungeons. Shion Onohara, a cat demi-human (Were-cat) boy, grew up watching the back of his sister Sakura, who was an accomplished adventurer. However, Sakura lost her life in a dungeon. Despairing over the loss of his sister, Shion continued his days aimlessly. But at the Shinjuku Adventurer Center, where he came looking for work, he meets Akako Asahane, a girl aspiring to be a sorcerer. A boy who ventured into dungeons alone, a sorcerer girl who changes his fate, eccentric companions, and the various people and demi-humans surrounding them. And his own story.
